John was passionate about our National Parks, and in retirement set out on a quest to visit them all. Family legend has it that he succeeded. He was particularly fond of the sites in the Southwest and the Native American culture alive within them. Besides his driver's license, the most valued item in his wallet was his Golden Age Passport providing him access to some of our nation's most beautiful and peaceful places, as he journeyed from state to state in his trusty Rav4.
John passed away on October 19, 2020, having led a full and accomplished life, at the age of 91.
Please give a gift in honor of John to the National Park Foundation through our page. All donations are tax-deductible and support the parks we all love. Please feel free to leave notes and memories to share with everyone on the message board. We look forward to reading them.
NPF works to protect national parks and to create life-long connections to natural, cultural, and historical gems. As the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service, NPF is responsible for protecting the parks for future generations.
We thank you for your support of John, as well as the National Park Foundation.
