His whole life, Jason loved the outdoors and our national parks. When he was younger, he dreamed of being a park ranger. Our family went to Yellowstone each year when we visited our grandparents' cabin in the area. Back home, Jason particularly loved going to Great Falls and Assateague.
At BYU, he majored in environmental science and traveled to the national parks in Utah as often as he could, organizing groups of family and friends to hike, camp and rock climb. He particularly loved Zion National Park. He had an amazing memory of hikes and places in the parks he loved. For anyone going to a park looking for a hike, he always had lots of recommendations that he thoughtfully tailored to your interests and needs.
All donations are tax-deductible and support the parks we all love. Please feel free to leave notes and memories to share with everyone on the message board. We look forward to reading them.
The National Park Foundation works to protect national parks and to create life-long connections to natural, cultural, and historical gems. As the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service, the National Park Foundation is responsible for protecting the parks for future generations.
We thank you for your love for Jason, and your support of our family as well as the National Park Foundation.
